Converse should have more opportunities to become a technical brand, but its business model would need a complete overhaul. It’s a low probability, but it would strengthen Nike’s lifestyle approach.

Agreed. I think that’s part of the struggle of being under the Nike umbrella. The tech is inherited, whether you label it as such or not. The budgets for innovation rarely exist.

Funny how it’s their heavy run investment which languished that’s picking up again. They fully trimmed down the product line and reinvested so much spend in ACG, the trail pro team, marathons, and their core stores.

Meanwhile On has most of their growth in lifestyle…
